Non-woven fabrics are not cloth. In fact, the three major raw materials used to produce non-woven fabrics are polypropylene (PP), polyester (Polyester) and viscose fiber (Viscose fibre), with individual proportions of 63 percent and 23 percent . and 8 percent , for a total of 94 percent . Viscose fiber is a processed product of natural fiber. Polypropylene and polyester are both chemical fibers and the main polymer components of synthetic plastics. They are processed from non-renewable fossil raw materials such as oil, natural gas or coal. Non-woven fabrics made of fibers are all plastic products, and the vast majority (89.5 percent ) of non-woven fabrics on the market are refractory plastic products.
Although plastic products can be recycled, used masks, wet wipes, tea bags, diapers, etc. are contaminated and cannot be recycled. These disposable non-woven fabrics belong to dry garbage in garbage classification, and the disposal of dry garbage is usually landfill, incineration, etc. The landfill leachate produced by landfill plastic waste will pollute soil and water bodies; and in another waste treatment method - waste incineration, non-woven fabrics made of plastic will produce carcinogenic dioxins (so far humans have the most toxic pollutants known), acid gases, etc.
